Our People@Propio series introduces the newest members of the Propio team. This week meet Amit, Investor Onboarding and Support.
1. What attracted you to Propio?
To put it simply, the chance to join an exciting startup with a fantastic vision, huge ambition, as well as the opportunity to work alongside such an experienced team, was too good of an opportunity to miss out on. Having started as an intern, I had the amazing opportunity of working so closely with our MD – Tom. I had such a good time and learnt so much in those three months that when he offered me a full-time role I couldn’t say yes quickly enough!
2. Tell us more about your role here at Propio and what a typical day consists of for you.
As mentioned, I started as an intern so my role has grown massively since first joining. I’m now responsible for helping our investors onboard and to answer any queries they might be facing. I’ve always had a passion for numbers and pretty strong communication skills (I think!) so I’m relishing in this new Investor Support role. Got a question? Just give me a shout!
3. What bit of tech could you not live without?
I think it would have to be the internet. From the flexibility it brings, the opportunity to enhance education at the click of a button and from a communication/entertainment perspective too, I’ve become extremely reliant and know I would really struggle without it.
4. When you’re not at Propio, how do you like to spend your free time?
I love sports – both playing and watching, with a huge emphasis on football and golf. On the weekend, you can usually find me between the sticks or playing a round of golf with my mates.
5. What’s on your bucket list?
Sounds generic, but I’ve always wanted to run the London Marathon. I think I’ve persuaded the team to do a half marathon next year so that’s the first step. Keep an eye on our social media for updates and if any of our supporters/investors would like to join us, then please get in touch!
